Vermont offers a plethora of ways to enjoy its landscapes and people.
There are also many opportunities for Exchange students to get a great big taste of Vermont, and to fulfill the great opportunities.
Local places always have great food choices and create a calm environment.
“The reservoir in Waterbury is always a good choice for a yummy meal and calming environment.” Senior Ada Mongeon stated.
Mongeon continues. “BBs bagel is always a great go to breakfast spot when you are wanting a fresh warm bagel.”
There are also many places in the valley that students are drawn to as well. Junior Mason Jones echoes Mongeon’s thoughts of food,“Canteen is a fantastic place to get yummy and quick food. It’s also nice because friends are always there to have a great time with.”
Vermont doesn’t just have great food places,it also has great outdoor activities opportunities. The state is always offering experience to the community members.
“Mad River Glen and Sugarbush ski resorts are always an easy place to have fun and be yourself while doing it.” Said Harwood English teacher Mr.Gravelle.
Ski areas are always great environments, they also have many opportunities to make the community members smile.
“The covered bridge in Waitsfield is a great swimming spot during the summer. I am always happy and smiling when I’m there.” said Senior Ada Mongeon “ Sugarbush is also a great hiking spot, it’s not just for skiing” she added.
Vermont isn’t just about the yummy food and exciting activities, though it has many views and impeccable scenery that you can’t see anywhere else.
“ The leaves are the brightest I’ve ever experienced.” Mason stated.
Gravelle added “ Vermont had a lot of beautiful nature and very little crowds. It’s more peaceful and enjoyable when big crowds aren’t ruining the most beautiful parts. I will never move back to Colorado after seeing the beauty of Vermont.” Gravelle also stated, “ seeing the seasons change over the hillside will forever be my favorite part of living here.”
In this state there are many places to have fun if you are the type of person who chooses to save their money and not spend it. But if you want to have a little fun there are many shopping locations that Vermont community members are attracted to.
The university in south Burlington is a great indoor shopping option with stores like American Eagle,Target,H&M, and many others. If you are looking for outdoor possibilities there is also Church Street in downtown Burlington. Church Street is more targeted to the young teenage audience. They have stores like Brandy Melville, Lululemon,Urban Outfitters, and Free People.
Many teenagers have expressed that Church Street is a Vermont experience as it’s close to the beautiful waterfront and you can get fresh air with a side of shopping. They also have yummy allergy friendly options to support those in need. Restaurants like Church Street Tavern,El Cortijo Taqueria, and Ben & Jerry’s all have great substitutions for many allergies.
Ada Mongeon added to her prior comment that “Church Street is my friend. I go to a shopping location when we know we want to spend good money on quality food/merchandise.”
“ You are one lucky person if you get to experience the beauty and happiness of Vermont. No other place can compare,” said Mongeon and Jones.
