Eating at the Reservoir

The Reservoir, located on Bank Hill in waterbury has been a local favorite since it’s renovation from Waterbury Wings. I have never been to Reservoir growing up, and decided to change that. When I walked in the look of the restaurant was pleasing, and felt comfortable. When I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted and sat by a close friend Riley Powell. I was given ample time to decide what I’d like and didn’t feel rushed to make a decision. After the hard decision of choosing what I wanted, I ended up ordering the Shed Burger. For any who are curious on what that is, it is made from LaPlatte Farm Ground Beef, beer battered with Shed Mountain Ale. Topped with Lettuce, onion, pickle, cheddar cheese on a English muffin. It sounded mouthwatering when ordering, but it didn’t serve justice yet. In this generation, the wait would not be liked by many, taking about 25 minutes for my food to come out. It would be nice to have it sooner, but it gave me time to observe the restaurant some more and really soak in the vibes of the building.  My food finally came. The burger looked as good as it sounded. Now tasting it was next. On a scale of 1-10 I would give the burger a 10. I ate every bit of it, including my fries. I give it a 10 because the flavor but also the simple creativity of the burger was pleasing and wonderful. Enjoying every bite. I left that restaurant with a smile on my face and a full belly. The staff I had was great and served me well. I’ll definitely be going back in the near future.
