It’s fair to say that Harwood’s Girls Cross Country team has been on the moon lately, having won their 27th Division II title. To celebrate, it was only appropriate that they, along with the boys’ team who finished 4th, show off their title in style. After returning to Waterbury from the meet, two fire trucks from the Waterbury Fire Station met the bus carrying the reigning champions and led on parade throughout Waterbury. 

When asked about the girls’ win, senior co-captain Caelyn McDonough said, “It felt good. We worked really hard and our team was strong and it felt good to have our hard work pay off.”
